The First Ten (10) Steps To Success So you're a new Atlan Associate! Congratulations!
These ten action steps are designed to get you off and running as quickly as possible - all in the right direction.
- Set your own realistic goals. We suggest these include recruiting five (5) Associates in the next five weeks. Watch the powerpoint on Getting Started As A New Associate first.
- Get equipped. Begin by printing off multiple copies of the two (2) brochures on ClubAtlan and the Atlan Associate Opportunity, and have these available to carry with you to hand out with your name, email, phone # and associate number already printed onto them.
- Familiarize yourself with Atlan.com. Our website has everything you need to get started through to completing the Associate Registration and/or selling the ClubAtlan membership. Study the resources and the FAQ page.
- Create your proposed team members list. Start with five key people, and have a backup list of another 10-20 people that are going to be your first team of five Associates.
- Setup individual meetings with each of your five. This is where you ask these people if they are willing to help you in the business, and explain with the Atlan Business Plan, or brochures, or in your own way what it is that you are planning to build your business with.
- Design your own marketing strategy. Are you going to use advertising to find new members? Are you hoping to use word of mouth? What are you most comfortable with? Is the web going to be your primary strategy? If so, what tools are you going to use. We can suggest MyBrandBuilder.com, LocalAdLink.com, ConstantContact.com, Blogging, and a variety of other social networking sites. Are you going to have your own website for people to learn about the opportunity, and join as either an Associate or a ClubAtlan member? This requires both planning and soul searching.
- Create your list of potential members. These may be close friends, family, or distant acquaintances, or they may be 'John Does' you plan to find through strategic advertising. The realistic goal for membership sales is one sale per month. If you do better than this, you will only exceed your own expectations, and make us all happier sooner.
- Start your campaign. Approach these member candidates in whatever way you have decided is best with the goal of demonstrating the value of the ClubAtlan program, and then asking if they would be willing to join your team.
- Meet with your new Associates. The key to team building is to help your new team members find their own new team members. That is why we have a 5x2 Matrix that requires you to help each of your five Associates each recruit five Associates direct to them - before you can add a sixth Associate direct to you. Help them recruit, and place new Associates under your Associates so that you can both grow your team together. Identify potential CSR's and help them get qualified, trained and tested so that they can begin earning for you.
- Have fun! Relax and keep your goals reasonable. When you are stressed, nobody wants to join your team. When you are happy, relaxed and confident, everyone wants to know how you did it. Become a magnet, not an odor.
